Walked over to this cafe for breakfast. Enjoyed great coffee and blueberry and cranberry scones. Cafe has a nice, friendly atmosphere. Then we headed across the street to Georgestown bakery to buy bread etc... to take back to our place. I would definitely recommend this cafe to others. View all feedback.
What Iryna Khmelevska doesn't like about Georgestown Cafe & Bookshelf:
Nice cute place with perfect location. Liked conception of books and coffee in one place. Bought couple of scones two weeks ago and was absolutely disappointed because not fresh and found very big stone in my partridgeberry stone. Assume it was mixed with berries but it doesn't change the fact that it may cost you visit to the dentist. I was slowly eating so did not break my teeth but next time will I stop there? I h... Stay in an Airbnb next to the cafe. A good place for coffee, breakfast or lunch. Friendly and helpful staff.
I have written another, not too flattering review of this establishment, which at the time, I felt was correct.. However I have been back to give this cafe another try mainly because they do have the best coffee in the city. The café Americano was, as usual, great but the biggest difference was the service... it could not have been better. The blueberry scone was also very tasty and we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. We'll be back.
Great staff, service, coffee, food. This place has good energy. First visit. Enquired about the place, products and locale. Everyone was helpful. I'll be back again. ????❤
This is a much loved cafe by local students and families. It seats less than 30, but also provides take out coffee. This is not a fast food outlet. This is a local cafe where you would bring a friend or your kid to have a relax. If you are lucky and get seat by the window you can sip and watch the world glide by. Food is good with lots of health conscious and vegetarian options. This cafe sits across the street from the Georgetown Bakery and many people combine a visit to both. Note this cafe is not open in the evenings.
