Adelaide Oyster House is a fantastic tapas style restaurant with reasonable prices for excellent quality food and friendly service. The downsides are they don't take reservations and it can be very, very noisy. Also some of the dishes were quite spicy which I was not expecting. However the food was so good we would have gone back if they weren't closed for dinner on Sunday. read more.

The food was pretty good, but the music was so loud that we only had to talk. And the volume of music seemed to like the waiters instead of considering that the guests want to talk about their meal. "This restaurant is a must if you're in this area! You have to try the food here!! The prices are really fair, it's not too expensive. The portion sizes are great too, lots of food! It's definitely a great deal. My girlfriend and I both had large plates of food. We were stuffed and the bill only came to $25 before tip! The food is also just mouthwatering! It's so delicious, anything you can try here will be good! I've never been disappointed! Definitely come here if you can!"

"This place was highly recommended to us to visit, as a vegan family visiting from Ontario. The owner was so friendly, offered soup, beautiful home made sauces, fruit for my children, warming tea from Thailand all free of charge. The owner explained all of the dishes to us along with his recommendations. The portions are very generous, 4 of us shared 3 entrees. He also provided us with some recommendations on attractions and places to visit while we are here. We can not wait to return to St Johns to visit again."
