Really friendly welcome from Landlord Dan, locals and other chatty visiting types. Happy to report the lovely interior hasn’t altered since my last visit about 35 years ago (and it was old then! . Quirky furniture, antiquities, old stockings and motorbikes. Oh and a nice black dog called Maud. Good selection of drinks, well kept beer. I especially liked the blood orange cider. I had passed the pub a few times and looking at the pub Web Site and reviews it looked as though the simple attractive menu was well received. Today was a bad day to test my interest as the pub was a bit hung over from the previous days Beer Festival. The place also offers the possibility to sit outside and eat and drink in nice weather, and there is a eating area with chairs/tables. A counter with bar stools invites you to linger.
