"The Kings Head is our favourite Stamford pub. Just off the main High Street, it is a hidden oasis of cosy, traditional charm. Incredibly well run by friendly and efficient staff. It is waiter service only, which cleverly avoids the usual battle of thirsty punters at the bar. Not having eaten there in a while, we decided to try the burgers. They were incredible! I had a ‘Dunker’; cheese and bacon burger with dipping gravy. Honestly, it was the best burger I have ever eaten. My husband, was just as enthusiastic about his ‘Slaw Galore’; brie and coleslaw. The fries were crispy and hot. Perfect! We are already planning our next visit."

"We were staying in a Stamford hotel for a couple of nights, so decided to have dinner at the Pizza Express for one of those evenings. We didn't have any reason to regret it. The food was excellent, the atmosphere was good, and staff were efficient and very pleasant."
