"Amazing little cafe in an early Stawell building (Gold Rush hotel era), currently being renovated by the owner. Food amazing, all baked onsite. Host, lovely man but very slow service and some food/ drinks forgotten and had to be reminded"

"Fantastic. Mum had dietary requirements so I called in a few days before to discuss. The result was one of the best dinners I've had in years. Roasted artichoke soup was to die for, lightly battered flathead tails simply incredible. Then delicious fruit and cheese platter finished it off perfectly. Top that off with brilliant service from Andy. Love this place xx"

"Charming old school country pub! I went there on Parma night. Service was great and staff friendly. The food itself was great! Crispy chips and a choice of tap beer or other drinks. Do visit this place!"

"We were staying at the motel and decided to give the restaurant a go. We were not disappointed, the choice of menu was good, the food excellent with a decent assortment of fresh vegetables too which pleased us. I enjoyed my main meal so much...when we returned another evening I had the same meal as it was so delicious (individual lamb pie very yummy! My husband tried the kangaroo which he said was really tender and he enjoyed it very much. The second evening he also had the lamb pie as he could see how appealing it looked. Relaxing atmosphere and we were able to sit near the open fire which gave a nice ambience. Service very good we could not fault our experience there in any way."

"Every time I go to a battery I get the pepper steak pie. Waacks battery was the best I have had so far. Heaps of meat with just the right amount of pepper. Excellent service as well. Would highly recommend going there."
