"Stopped in for cute little lunch which ended in an upset stomach. We were provided cutlery with food still on them. We mentioned something and they were promptly replaced. She then brought us our waters but my glass had something in it as well as lip prints from the previous drinker. I asked for a can instead as I figured I’d be safe that way. Food was okay, exactly what you’d expect for a small diner. Seated next to the front door which was kinda chilly given the season and quickly cooled the food we were eating. Likely won’t be back."

"Cafe Italia is a great place to get your fix of pasta! The food is pretty good, although smaller portions on some dishes. The garlic fingers are pretty well the best in pictou county! Service is usually good. Would recommend as a good place to go out with some friends while in new Glasgow!"

"We were treated in a very offhand manner. Since we were seated near the entrance we heard every other customer get asked if they wanted inside or patio seating. Wait, what, there 's a patio? I 'm from Ontario, how would I know? Waiter always acted rushed, couldn 't drop our food on the table and run away fast enough. We both ordered fish and chips, and it was meh. But...its fish and chips, so where 's the lemon? My wife got a slice but not me. Where 's the malt vinegar, or even vinegar. I had to ask for vinegar and ketchup for my fries. Anyway it was all just 'ok '. The place is marketing itself as one thing but I liken it to someone thinking they are something they 're not. Lots of other restaurants on this street, I 'm sure they aren 't too busy to treat all their customers equally."
