While staying in the village, we took a leisurely walk down to the restaurant on Friday evening to check it out before deciding to dine there on Saturday night. The staff were all very friendly, so we made a reservation and had a fantastic dining experience. View all feedback.
What Tourist55232441458 doesn't like about The Fleece Inn:
Went for a quiet drink in the evening spolit by barking dog . Ironically, children not welcome at bar....but barking dogs always welcome. Man, if you want to share your evening with sounds of a kennel, this is the pub for you. View all feedback.

Just enjoyed an excellent lunch at the Fleece Inn Hillesley today comprising of a Croque Monsieur and a Croque Madame both were very well prepared, tasty and satisfying. Along with a cosy log fire and great hospitality it was a very pleasant way to spend a Friday lunchtime. Thank you.
We stayed at the Old Granary in Hillesley for my surprise weekend away for my sixtieth birthday. My wife had secretly booked us in for dinner at the Fleece. What a wonderful pub, with a great atmosphere, delightful staff and serving amazing food. The birthday banner was a lovely surprise too. Can't speak highly enough of the Fleece. Thank you for a wonderful meal.
Taken to The Fleece Inn by friends who lived in the area and wanted to show us what a proper village pub should be like. And it was fab. Extremely friendly and welcoming staff, lots of choices of real ales (Trooper was our favourite), a good menu to choose from with lovely food served up at reasonable prices. What was not to like. If only we lived closer.....
Called in for a pint with a friend. Unfortunately the beer we were drinking was taken off even though it had just been put on. There was nothing wrong with the beer, infact it was excellent. So why would the landlord want to throw away three pints of perfect beer just to have a empty pub. The Fleece should be removed from the GBG
