we booked last minute. the staff are all very friendly and have welcomed us from the minute we leave our bikes in the garden. eat very nice, we had lunch and dinner on Saturday, and breakfast on Sunday morning was very nice. our room was clean and comfortable and the live band was a bonus, Saturday night. "I purchased a curry here and unfortunately mid way through noticed a dead, cooked wasp in the dish. Out of courtesy I emailed the takeaway but as they have chosen to not respond after two weeks despite my initially private approach, I feel no option but to post here. "Visited the hostelry on Saturday, The Beer was excellent, the architecture was interesting, the staff were dismal, uninterested and almost surly, possibly because the management were absent.
