Stick with the seafood. Fried shrimp was great for example. Stay away from the pasta and other items that don't have fish. They do seafood right.

"Dined here on Saturday 9/4/21, around 1pm. There was no wait for our table of 2. All of the staff was super friendly. We had the option of indoor or outdoor seating and we chose indoor with a great view of the intercoastal waterway! Our food was great. We had fried pickles for an appetizer that came out pretty quick. Our meals (which were a bacon cheeseburger and a shrimp burger) were delicious! Definitely a great place with great atmosphere!"

"If you have not tried the Oak Island Sub Shop, you are missing! This was our first time we tried the subshop and came back a second day because we enjoyed it so much! The bread is made in the house, I have to say more? The bread and vegetables are so fresh! We tried turkey, bacon, Ranch Sub, Philly and shrimp salad. All were incredibly delicious, with the right ratio of meat and vegetables. And I just can't say enough about the bread!! If we were living on site, we would be regular! I can't wait to come back next year!"

"Pretty good, if there was a 4 1/2 rating, I would give it that. Was there over the summer, sat indoors on a hot evening, and it was unfortunately, uncomfortable. They did their best to keep it cool but it was not, and there were flies everywhere. That was a bit disgusting while we were trying to eat. The food was delicious, I had a piece of tilefish blackened, and it was fabulous. My wife and daughter had a couple varieties of the bowls, and they were also very good."
