I had the chicken shawarma plate - marinated in a blend of 17 spices. It was so flavourful; accompanied with creamy hummus, fragrant rice, salad and flat bread. My hubby had the chicken shawarma wrap and really enjoyed it. We highly recommend this dining gem. It's a small, very casual place to enjoy an excellent meal with family and friends. What User doesn't like about Palmyra Mediterranean Grill:
I have been to this restaurant three times. The first time the food and service were fine. Hence I returned on a second occasion. On that visit the service was very slow, but as the food was fine, and as I was shopping at the nearby T&T supermarket, I returned again. However, on the third occasion I ordered a falafel wrap, which is listed on the menu board for $4.99. Went to the Palmyra Mediterranean Restaurant in Surrey (near Guildford area) for the first time Dec. 12, 2015 . . . my guests and I were very impressed with the service, overall atmostphere and the food, which was simply DELISH!!! We left totally satisfied. It's quite a small place and you have to go to the counter to order your food but everything is made fresh, it is nice 'n clean and the food was handled with gloves (big PLUS in my world). That said, I like to support family-run businesses so I was very happy to be there. The friendliness was constant, from the time you go in to the time we left. I don't think there is anything negative to say about this restaurant. I wish them much success and can't wait to go back again -- I know it will be SOON!Queen B (has spoken, hahaha!!!)
The food is excellent. The family that owns the restaurant is so pleasnt when they serve you. Large portion and authentic Syrian experience. We eat there many times a month. A regular craving for us.

But the counter server--I believe an owner-- wanted to charge me 6.84! When I objected, she said they are using expensive bread! I declined the order so I cannot speak to the quality of the food. I will never return as I find this restaurant very unprofessional.
Really enjoyed our food experience here. This is a no frills restaurant and it offers great middle eastern food at reasonable good prices without amenities. Food is served on paper plates with plastic forks and knives. The interior was clean, plain and not fancy in anyway. I was ok with not having a server with plates and cutlery as I think this keeps the prices down. I would highly recommend this restaurant. We had the Kafta BBQ lamb. My grand daughter who does not like any sort of bean dish was very impressed with the homus. The saj bread delicious and ask for extra garlic sauce. Very good.We had no complaints with the ladies who served us. They were both friendly and accommodating. I can see from past posts that there were some issues with one of the servers but we did not experience that, otherwise I probably would be posting a different review. So far love it here and will go back.
