Having worked in Surry Hills for over 18 years, I have visited most of the 26 in the suburb. The Evening Star is now one of the best. Excellent food at very reasonable prices plus jugs of beer at $16, the staff, mainly Thai girls are friendly efficient and helpful. Forget the neg reviews to date. Things have changed. What mrdom doesn't like about Evening Star Hotel:
Quieter old-school pub compared to some around here but friendly enough with small tables outside. Reasonable drink range, not the most expensive but could be a bit cheaper. View all feedback.
