While some customers were unimpressed with the small portions and lackluster quality of the food, others found the roast lunch to be tasty and imaginative. The pub itself is described as traditional and welcoming, with friendly staff and a well-cared-for garden. Prices are generally considered reasonable, and social distancing measures were commended. Overall, The Castle in Oare seems to have its ups and downs, but it remains a decent spot for a meal or drink in a relaxed setting.
Great, friendly staff and fantastic eating. even the locals have joined to help our disabled people.
Beautiful Sunday dinner, friendly staff, which is very welcome after a Sunday walk
Fantastic eating, can not stop going back again and again beautiful staff and dawn and bob will always pay attention to their guests x
Had a fantastic lunch, sat in the lovely garden.will be back soon
Great pub, used it for many years when I lived in Oare and Harty Ferry, If when we walk the seaway on a Sunday always pop in for a couple of pints of Guinnes which is normally on the bar waiting if Bob sees me parking up. Always friendly and welcoming, don't walk by if passing.
