Wow! I'm always happy to find these little treasures on small towns. This restaurant does a lot - western, Italian, and Mexican. Usually that spells disaster but in this case the Mexican was awesome! I ordered beef picadillo tostadas. I didn't try anything else yet but the pastas did look good too. Anyway, fresh ingredients, made in house, taste was there and didn't blow my head off with spice. What Floyd Veum doesn't like about Ricardo's Restaurant:
I eat Mexican food at least once a week in Nebraska and South. That is real Mexican food. This Burrito ($15.00) was tasty but way small. No Chilie sause no Queso no beans no rice all extra. Cup of soup $5.95? Where I'm from if you ordered $10.00 worth of food you would not be able to walk out. I may have to get a burger on the way to my hotel. View all feedback.

We went to Ricardo's for a late lunch. The menu selection was vast and my wife and I were both able to find something to suite our different tastes. The service was good and the atmosphere quaint. Check it out the next time you're in Taber.
Great Italian/Mexican restaurant with friendly staff. Our meals were both delicious, atmosphere was slower than most places for dinner time but for a couple looking to relax and have a decent meal it was just what we wanted. Big portions so we took the rest home. It looked closed when we drove up but glad we stopped to try it out. Will definitely eat there again.

I just had to tell everyone that we always have a wonderful visit, and an amazing meal and delightful service at Ricardo's again. Very few proprietors will become friends but we are proud to say that we feel Bruce & Marta are our friends. And we feel the food is, hands down, the best in Taber.
