Oh man, this was delicious. I got the brisket sandwich and collard greens, the meat was tender, flavorful and juicy. The collards we're flavorful and not too salty. Kids got the brisket stack and my wife got the hot mess pulled pork, everyone was full and satisfied. We'll definitely be back! View all feedback.
What Christina M doesn't like about Shundra's Soul Smokehouse:
My daughter and I decided to try this restaurant because we were drawn in by the amazing smell and were very hungry. We ordered mac and cheese, ribs, coleslaw, cornbread, and banana pudding. Unfortunately, our experience was terrible. The coleslaw was gray, the ribs were lukewarm and not flavorful, and the cornbread was the worst I have ever tasted. The food at this restaurant is amazing, and the staff is even better! They excel at what they do and dining here brings joy, not just satisfaction.
I always order the catfish dinner or sandwich at this restaurant. The dinner comes with the option of fries, but I usually choose the two sides of collard greens and creamy potatoes. It is the best catfish dinner in town! Shaundra and Jerry are fantastic and their homemade food is amazing. I highly recommend this place. The collard greens are homemade with bits of turkey, giving it a soul food flavor. And let's not forget about the mac and cheese, which is the best in town! Everything in this restaurant is delicious and made with love.
We had a fantastic time at this restaurant! The food was delicious, the customer service was top-notch, and the music created a fun atmosphere. The complimentary mimosas were a nice touch. We will certainly return in the future. My husband was so pleased with his meal that he ended up ordering more.

Unfortunately, our experience was terrible. The coleslaw was gray, the ribs were lukewarm and not flavorful, and the cornbread was the worst I have ever tasted. When I tried to break a piece, it crumbled on my plate and tasted like a dry, raw piece of white flour. We were extremely disappointed with the food.
I can't believe we didn't discover this place earlier. The BBQ brisket is phenomenal (and I'm from Texas), the restaurant is woman-owned, and the sides are delicious with large portions. Just a friendly warning: the hot BBQ sauce is no joke!
