What a lovely, welcoming pub! The staff are attentive and friendly, and there is a fantastic atmosphere at any time of day. The steak is a must-try, especially on Thursdays when you can get 2 steaks for £16. Despite the low price, the quality is outstanding - we've eaten at expensive places and the steak at The Shepherd's Rest is far superior.
