What palatogiusto doesn't like about The Gateway Tearooms:
When you walk in, it appears to be a pub. Then you sit at the table and begin reading the menu, only to discover that they mostly serve pizza. The waiter was adequate, pleasant but untrained. In general, the service is slow and inattentive. The kitchen is just around the corner, and you can hear the cooks conversing and whistling. The pizza is then delivered. A lovely place with fantastic food had a slight issue which was dealt with with the utmost professionalism, well worth a visit.

One of the best pizzas I've ever had, one of the worst desserts. Lovely environment, Eastern pizza was lovely on a light, crisp base. Ice cream was a bit of an insult and not cheap.
Enjoyed a fantastic “Don” Pizza and my wife’s Moule Frite were stunning! A pub in a quiet Devon village on a wet Saturday night that’s absolutely heaving when the surrounding restaurants are virtually empty says everything about The Horse.
