Great local food that is freshly made by the super friendly owner. Tip: if you like spicy you should try the salsa picante

"Stopped for lunch, was not disappointed in the least. Started with the queso fundido, I had an Horchata, and then moved onto the main course. My wife ordered the pollo alcaporrado and I had the lomitas de Valloidoid, both were fantastic. Great views, a nice afternoon, in a perfect setting!"

"After visiting the pottery shops in Ticul, we decided to try this restaurant. It is a ways out of town and a little difficult to find, but it is worth it. The restaurant is on one of the few hills in the area and offers...both a nice view and cooling breezes. When we were there, there were only two other tables that were full, so the service was very fast and friendly. After the complimentary tortilla chips with a couple of different types of frijoles, we order the Papadzules (crispy tortillas, folded into tubes, stuffed with hard boiled eggs, topped with a tomato sauces with ground pumpkin seeds and spices) and Sopa de Limon (a lime-based broth, loaded with shredded chicken and tortilla strips). Both were yummy and the portions were large. If you find yourself in the area, I would definitely recommend a stop here!"

"Very tasty. I think that's the best thing I had this trip. they had an eating deal where they had a suppe or salat, a meat dish, and a dessert for 180 pesos, $9, or a single meat dish for 120 pesos. it's a lot of food for $9, and I think it's the best I had this trip so far. sopa de lima is always good. I also had cochinitas pibil and crema espanola. I had chaya con piña for a drink and it was wonderful. the cochinitas were delicious and were cooked in the floor. everything was organic and all food comes from the opposite, even the eggs, when they go after uxmal, they make an eating stop here for lunch or dinner. we went to uxmal at 8 o'clock and stopped here at 2 o'clock for lunch and there was hardly anyone here. the service is also great. my man ordered poc chuc. I think the Poc-Chauc is my favorite, but the cochinitas were also really good."
