"Amazing service and excellent food. Sat outside in the sun drinking wine with the best mussels he had ever had (and that IS high praise) and me trying salmon for the first time (and really enjoying it). So happy to have popped in to this gem."

"High end dining without the food being rich or pretentious! The food was delicious with fresh flavours and creative combinations. Because of food intolerances the menu was adapted for me and I had several choices for each course. If you're thinking of eating here go! Dietary restrictions: I discussed food intolerances with the restaurant before going, and they adapted the dishes to give me the same number of choices as the regular menu"

"Recommended by people we met, and they were right, this was a great find. Excellent dinner, good variety with emphasis on Scottish and seafood dishes. Great service too in a very comfortable bistro."

"This is a truly wonderful local bakery. Good Scotch pies, fabulous cakes and pastries. Not cheap, but the quality is excellent so great value for money. My only complaint is that the shop closes on Sundays so we had to go without that day. We didn't eat in but you can. The first time we went we had to queue for a fair time, but that's just because the food is so good. Go first thing in the morning just after it opens to avoid queuing."

"We were there spontaneously for lunch and were served very friendly at a beautiful table in the sun. The trout and lobster sandwich was very juicy, fresh and delicious. The bread comes from a local source and was also very good. Some of the fries are with the skin on and are obviously homemade. Also very crispy and tasty. We would like to come back."

"Nice and clean and well presented restaurant. My husband doesn't eat fish so his choice was limited. However when our starters came they had brought the wrong starter for him so I ate alone until his was ready. Mains arrived and again a messed up meal with chicken missing from a Caesar salad. Again I ate alone, my fish pie was hot and tasty but. Expensive and service terrible. Wouldn't bother again."
