"It took us a year to finally get here, despite the fact we are usually keen to try out new restaurants. Now that we've been once, we'll definitely be back fairly regularly. The food is similar to the kind of thing we would be happy eating at a hatted Brisbane restaurant, or would fly to Sydney to try out. Very modern, playful, inventive. Almost all hits, with only one miss, more to do with my tastes than the chef....choko and cucumber were never going to win me over! We had the seven course tasting menu, and it was definitely enough to satisfy without leaving stuffed. At $89, it represents great value compared to food we've eaten elsewhere, but obviously isn't for a casual meal. The wine list was short but adequate, with representation from most grape varieties and areas. It would be nice to see some more premium wines make their way on to the list as time goes by, for the extra special occasion. The cocktails also looked as inventive as the food, although we didn't try any this time.Whilst the food is without a doubt fine dining, the environment is more casual, although not uncomfortable. The waitress was very friendly, knew her stuff, and was attentive. The open kitchen lets you see the food being prepared, although isn't noisy and in your face like some can be.Timing was our only small quibble. We were there for a Friday lunch, and the seven courses stretched to almost three hours, and that was with us asking for the final two courses to come out ASAP as we needed to do the school run. The restaurant wasn't very busy, but the meals were quite slow. We enjoyed the relax we had there this time, but it is probably a little too slow for our liking for regular. I imagine things could move quicker on request, although perhaps not if all tables were full. All in all, this is a spectacular addition to Toowoomba's dining scene. Definitely the only restaurant that approaches true innovative cuisine. With a menu that apparently changes a few times a year, it will keep us happy for a long time to come."

"One of the best curries I’ve had! Meat was so tender, it was beautiful. Staff were exceptional. They let me have a taste tester of a few furries that I was tossing up between and gave me free papadums to snack on whilst I wait for my takeaway order (only a 6 minute wait! . Definitely will be coming back. Would recommend.Vegetarian options: Lots of vegetarian and vegan optionsParking: Lots of parking.Dietary restrictions: Gluten free options!"

"I had an appointment across the road, so I ducked in for a take away coffee.asked how long it would be for a coffee to be made, was told was next in line. There was 5 staff just standing around, it was not busy, and so I waited, after 5 minutes coffee was made for me, just warm pretty ordinary actually. Impressions cafe, good name for it."

"A pleasant little cafe with a nice area in the sun. We dropped in twice for coffee and sweet things. The coffee was outstanding and the barista was absolutely charming, happy to chat away and very friendly. Highly recommended if you're a coffee nut."

"Polite service, generous portion sizes, delicious food and very good value for money. They provided takeaway containers for our leftovers without us even needing to ask for them. Curry puffs were amazing."
