It's always a bit scary entering an old favourite - but when we went to bacchus after 6 years we weren't disappointed. When I was expecting my now 14 yr old my husband used to travel from East Toronto to Parkdale to satisfy my cravings. I was introduced to roti - and bacchus 20 years ago and have never had better. Oh how I would crave the taste of this roti years gone by. However, after a long hiatus, my last visit left me expecting more. It's still tasty and I enjoyed it but it just wasn't like like it used to be. Also, the prices have increased quite a bit compared to other shops I have been to this year.I will always go back to Bacchus and I hope to taste the roti goodness as it s in days gone by. read more.

Offerings include preserved meats and preserved fruits (jams) of all types.Our meal started with an order of Mante (beef dumplings). It was served in a tomato sauce with yogurt and spices. It was a great way to start our meal. Other choices included the Papajoun and the Armenian Pizza, both suggested by Mirhan and both delicious.The Papajoun was a flatbread pizza with ground beef, spices, and a red pepper paste. We added some hot peppers. It was folded and toasted, giving it a nice texture. Yummy!The Armenian Pizza was topped with soujouk (an Armenian sausage), beef, onions, tomato sauce, and cheese.
