"Visited Messina for the day. Stopped here for lunch based on TA reviews. Ordered Sea Bass, pasta with Figs and another fish. All were prepared nicely, albeit the fish a bit salty. Portions are quite small versus other restaurants in Sicily. Although the experience was nice and service friendly, would not return and would try other 4/5 star options! So I guess it was ok, not bad and not great"

"Restaurant for fish lovers. Local product is served. I'd recommend Spaghetti with sea urchin padelle. Also the mixed cold antipasti for raw fish lovers. The local fish Luvaro and and thuna fish were excellent. Menú covers local traditional fish dishes i.e. Totano filled with breadcrumbs, or swordfish skewers. Also location ideal for kids since is in a pedestrian square"

"Amazing real sicilian food to enjoy in a lovely location accompanied by a great service. It 's the 3rd year I visit S. Lucia del Mela with my Family for the only purpose of eating at La Forchetta del Castello. So much lovely food, everytime we wish we had bigger appetites! Luckily they offer to doggy bag your left-overs! I recommend to try the Antipasto and the Portatine , a large variety of cured meats, local cheese and mini street food that won 't leave any space on the table... and in your tummy too! Delicious. Well done to the owners and all the people who work there, you can feel and taste their passion in every single dish. Thank you from Famiglia Tammaro-Cento"

"Ok, there are no words to describe the high quality and ample quantity of food we devoured here.We were 8 and paid for the full fish menu, which contained the following: antipasti (incredible amounts of marinated fish, polip salad, oysters, etc. , several kinds of pasta such as pasta with swordfish, salmon, clams, fried fish with lobster, salads, and also a dessert of choice. I honestly can't recall all the dishes! Everything was super fresh, preparated and presented wonderfully. And we paid around only 25 euros per person for all this! I was and I am still speehless. Really this was one of the best meals I ever had, if not the best! Absolutely recommended!"
