Loved the attitude and appreciate how busy the restaurant was tonight. The meal arrived a little bit late, I wasn't in hurry but seeing impatient faces of the customers were adding to waiters distress...FNQ Barra was amazing, the fish, the sauce were great. Downfall was the rice which was a bit dry. All and all the attitude and the main dish counts, don't they? I'll be definitely back here, whenever I'm in Townsville... View all feedback.

I arrived at the Mecure after a pretty long day. I just wanted a feed and to go to bed. I went to the Celcius because it was in the resort. I was very surprised with how slow the meals were. It took 35 minutes for my meal to arrive View all feedback.
We were seated by the pool which was quite nice and my partner had the duck which he said was ok. I had the Roast cauliflower steak, which although cooked well, was coated in a dry curry powder and just sat on the top. The...salad of toasted almonds toasted chickpeas, quinoa and baby spinach needed a dressing to tie the meal together, as it was bland and dry. At the end of the meal when we went to pay they added the GST on top (not a nice surprise). Overall, it was a disappointing meal for the price, and would not recommend it to others. You feel cheated when you have to pay extra you are not expecting.
Stayed overnight on business after a long day so the cold beers and quick service were much appreciated. Nothing outstanding about the food good pub bistro standard. Asked for a medium rare steak, got a medium steak. Otherwise would have been a star...review.
Staying at the Mercure this restaurant is between the reception and the pool. We got in late but that was no problem, seated fairly quickly and order taken. The lamb was melt in the mouth and the sauce was delicious and the salad crisp and...fresh. The calamari was perfectly cooked and as my wife pointed out probably one of the best she’s had in a long time! For dessert the coffee tart was tasty and the yogurt and jelly were equally nice.
Staff here are so friendly and helpful. Menu changes regularly and meal choices are simple yet sufficient. Bar is reasonably stocked with a good choice of wines, beers and spirits. Good for breakfast and dinner.
Recently chose the Celius Restaurant Mecure In Townsville, for a birthday celebration. The venue offered a wide variety of meals, that would please the most discerning diner. There were three of us,we all chose something different. All meals had a good size portion. Each of...us found our meals well cooked, delicious and the presentation of the meals, was a delight to the eye. The service was timely,friendly, attentive but not intrusive. The ambiance as usual was relaxed and peaceful. You have a choice dining in air conditioned comfort. or a wonderful tropical environment for al fresco dining overlooking the pool. The prices for each course was fair. Another big plus is plentiful safe parking. Certainly recommend this great restrauant. Merle Trembath
