beautiful traditional channel side pub. British menu. child-friendly, play area outside and child menu. excellent service and decent eating.

We had a most wonderful lunch at this pub, the food is delicious and the service most charming.

"Due to covid restrictions the restaurant is only supplying pre prepared takeaway meals, but what a treat. Simple re heat instructions left us with a superb meal for two, of five star quality, for less than thirty pounds. I have no idea how they do it.If you're considering a takeaway, give it a try, you're in for a real treat. Many thanks to staff at On the Hill."

"On holiday in ruthin and decided to eat lunch in spoons. much bigger than it looks, great outside area with beautiful view. service was for a Saturday, they know what a spoon sold, so eating was ok and drinks cheap. would be really nice out in the summer."
