The entrance to astarix is down an alleyway, and if you walk through you get to the back of the pub, which is really the front. There are tables there to sit outside and eat under a fairly impressive piece of graffiti art. I chose...the veg curry, and did not have long to wait. It was a quite unusual taste but very nice. The strongest things about this restaurant are their diverse vegetarian options and their selection of non German red wines by the glass. The bathroom is far down stairs and cold, the atmosphere is too bright and crowded and noisy, and the staff prefers to not...even attempt to speak English. It seems that an operation has no idea what vegan means. I was there with friends and had ordered a vegan pizza with the ticket. the service came back with the ticket and asked me what I wanted on the pizza because I had only crossed w pizza vegan with hotmelt. I answered when the vegetarian bolognese is vegan, like to take one and he: bolognese vegetarian or with chop meat .... no comments. I got a napolitana with hotmelt and still had to have 7.50€ as I had a pizza bolognese vegetarian.
The service was very friendly, easy and helpful. there were vegan options: pizza and noodle dishes could be put together themselves, there were vegan bolognese and vegan cheese eating.
Nice staff. We took veganspaghetti with us, but you saw the gwn in the microwave was warmed up.
It's always a bit loud inside, so I would recommend a table outside. Has some vegan options (pizza, bowls, soup), and an unbelievably delicious vegan carrot cake.
You can customize your own pizza/pasta also as a vegan, there are lots of vegan/vegetarian offers. However, it might be too loud inside you should sit outside
