Great food, happy staff, the dining room itself is warm and cozy. New favorite restaurant in town!

"The food was great, apart from the mushroom burger deluxe. it could use a more tasteful sauce or a bit gravy in the mushrooms. that is, everything else we ordered was excellent and the service was also great. overall very satisfied. will definitely come back for Chinese food :"

"I've been here a number of times over the past year so I thought it was time for a review. Recently, I had lunch here with my wife. Nothing fancy, but cooked well and the service was good. The breakfasts are really good, and very filling. Perfect if you are going out on a big hike."

"I enjoy the food and the freshness of all the vegetables and produce at this store. The staff are very friendly and fast at making your order. Even when quite busy. The prices are good but Subway TRULY IS fast food. Have you ever seen an Interac machine ask for a tip at McDonald's? No. So I am only giving four stars for this review. I don't appreciate being asked for more money from a carefully calibrated price tag on the food and combos. Those prices are where they are to PAY for the employees. Not to ask for handouts. In my opinion I find the tip button on an Interac machine or on the bill at the end of a meal is equivalent to panhandling outside of a bank on the streets.I worked in kitchens and in the food industry most of my youth and even with that experience I never asked for tips and I am a little disturbed that it is a common culture and practice in our society now."

"You're not exactly spoiled for choice on the restaurant front in Tumbler Ridge and with this being ranked fourth out of the five restaurants in town on Tripadvisor...and bearing in mind that number five has been closed for some time it was with some reticence that I visited. After all, some of the older reviews are not that complimentary. I was there at just after 8.00pm on a Monday evening. There were perhaps four other tables taken. Service was quick and attentive, never imposing. My drinks were brought promptly and the food didn't take long to appear. I had the sirloin steak which was cooked to perfection, if a little on the tough side, seasoned just how I like it, which came with a small fresh garden salad to start, steamed vegetables and a choice of potato. The portion size was perfect, even for a big guy like me and I left with a full tummy. Not much too complain about with the service or the food then. If I had to have a moan it would be about the drinks choice. Uninteresting range of bottled beer only (I'm guessing there's not enough business to warrant the maintenance of a draft option) and when I asked for the wine list, I was told with a slightly sheepish look that there was only a house red or white, which was served by the glass only. I ordered the red, a pleasant enough Chilean cabernet sauvignon/shiraz blend which, whilst not lip-smackingly gorgeous, complemented my steak nicely. I would have liked a choice though. To summarise then, not bad at all and well worth a visit if you're in the area."
