"The fish shack had much to live up to. It certainly delivered on a wet and blustery Ullapool day. Not much dry seating when the weather was wet. The haddock wrap was super fresh and the Cullen Skink delicious. Top marks."

"The owner of the Riverside B B where we were staying recommended the Moorfield and we were not disappointed at all, the service was excellent just as the food was, I had the best Guinness Steak pie ever and hubby had the Burns Chicken, highly recommend the Moorside if you are visiting Ullapool for work or pleasure Service: 5 Location: 5"

"As a relatively new vegan I was absolutely delighted with the amazing Felafal, Persian bread and salad I had for lunch yesterday....talk about eating the rainbow....I cannot remember ever having such a wonderful, colourful and inventive salad....my only regret is that I didn't take a photo before I started eating ????.....but no worries, as I have 2 vegans coming to stay next weekend....no need to guess where we will be heading ????"

"Lovely hotel- modern bedroom in outside wooden chalet with huge shower/bathroom. V comfy bed. Internet good, excellent choice of food in the evening and nice wine . View of the Summer Isles was good even though the weather was iffy. Umbrella provided in room. Spent a pleasant afternoon chilling in the bar! Highly recommended to anyone on NC500."

"Thank goodness for the Ceilidh Place staying open in October when every other place has given up and shut up at end of the season. While waiting for ferry to Stornoway we were looking for a place to sit and have tea/coffee but Ullapool has few places open at this time of year. Asked in Calmac office where was open and they suggested the Ceilidh Place. So many people waiting for the ferry wandering around looking for somewhere to go and sit in. Well done the lovely Ceilidh Place for providing a much needed service. Will use in the future."
