We had a wonderful meal! I was a little leary about the problems they had with trying to sell the business, and I think trying to finish it. Maybe I'm wrong. The food was fantastic, the service was fantastic. Very glad we left and we will come back! View all feedback.
What W W doesn't like about Lo Sole Mio Ristorante Italiano:
The downward spiral. They don't take reservations but will take your name in person for a one to three hour wait! Food used to be good, not so much anymore. There's plenty of other places in town that provide a better dining experience. Good riddance lo sole mio. View all feedback.
We enjoyed Omaha's finest Italian restaurant dining experience.
New to the area and this place was recommended highly! It did not disappoint! John was our server near the back of the restaurant and his professionalism

Saturday night for dinner. Between Berkshire and Prom season it was packed and then some and we waited about 70 minutes to a table as they don't take reservations. Wife and I sat at the bar and ordered cocktails and a delicious Flatbread Margherita appetizer. Bartender was a professional who maintains the hectic environment. I don't know if I know his name. When we finally sat the service itself, the lack of lust was, but the food was fantastic and the portion sizes are the 2 days of meals we had 't were there in over a decade before this visit and it's lost a step. Would recommend.
Their authentic Italian cuisine and atmosphere was very pleasant. The place was very busy, but we felt safe. We have the antipasto appetizers and it was massive. This common charcuterie style plate is enough for 4 people. We couldn't even eat half of it. It included marinated artichoke, several types of olives, and picked eggplants and paprika. The meats were salami, pepperoni, procuttio and a kind of ham, I think. They had provolone and pieces of Parmesan Regganio for the cheese. The garlic and basil infused olive oil was very pleasant with their bread, although I really expect a more authentic French bread or perhaps Ciabatta style bread instead of the small rolls that were given. Also expected that the bread is at least warm. It's decent, just not what I expected. The roasted garlic you can get with the reels was very good. We could buy a smaller bottle of garlic oil to bring us home. If you do not already, the addition of fresh cracked pepper to the oil is ideal. In the pictures, the bottle on the left is the one we bought, the standard size of the bottle on their tables on the right side. The salad was fine, but nothing special. My husband was very happy with his Clam-khowder who was the soup of the day. I had the spaghetti with meat sauce and gave 3 meat balls. You were very good. Firm with great taste. I liked that she had real grated parmesan cheese on her tables to instead of the standard dehydrated parmesan you see in many chain style pizza spots. My husband has the Veal Marsala. He said it was very delicious, lots of sauce with lots of mushrooms. The parmesan and garlic oil angel hair that came with it was perfect. Many times with this style you do not get the taste to keep the noodles good, but this was really perfect.
