As a picky vegetarian breakfast/brunch isn't really my thingI do not care for eggs, waffles, pancakes, or french toast.
I visited this cafe on a Saturday afternoon around 2 pm with my mom, sister and boyfriendThere was a 25 min wait, which I expected.

"I asked the server for a recommendation. The two dishes were the General Tso chicken and the Honey Walnut Shrimp because those were the most popular. I chose the Honey Walnut Shrimp. Too sweet, too rubbery, and it ruined the dish. Not executed very well. This was $20. Appetizer was the Fried Cheese Wontons with a spicy chili sauce. The sauce had a nice kick to balance the sweetness of the wontons. Wontons are lightly batter with a nice crunch. I would order these again. As of now, I am giving this place 3 stars until I return and try something else."

"I am a local and enjoy the food that is served at all the local resturants. but the grapevine stands out as being one of the best between baton rouge and new orleans.. the food is always great and very fresh and well seasoned. the servers are a vetern crew and work the tables well. a great place to meet and enjoy all the paintings and live music on weekends and the sunday brunch is one to enjoy and relax."
