Great family restaurant with a great home cooked meal taste. They have good cooked sour kraut, beef and gravy with mashed potatoes and pasta not to mention they have a whole display case and counter full of pies and cakes (German chocolate being my favorite) as you walk in to be seated. Definitely worth 5 stars. This place never disappoints. View all feedback.
What Steven Dorsey doesn't like about Watt's Family:
Servers are friendly and do a nice job. But the food has gone down hill in the past few months. And the prices keep going up! Spend 60$ and hardly feel full when we leave. View all feedback.
We were out for a Sunday drive and found this place by accident. Atmosphere would have received higher stars had it not been for the witnessed event described below. First things first, if you are lucky enough to get Theresa as your server, you are in for a great dining experience. As first timers she made our experience wonderful. My husband chose the seafood plate that included, a crab cake, a cod fillet, clam strips and shrimp plus 2 sides. He said it was really good. I enjoyed the liver and onions plus 2 sides. I wanted to try multiple dishes but since we were out driving, take out was not an option. Choosing a side is not an easy task, they have a lot of good options. Along with the regular menu, they also have daily specials. I attached a photo of the daily specials. Oh they also have a fabulous assortment of baked cakes, pies cookies etc. We were so full from our meal, we did not get to sample. Our only set back while enjoying our meal was listening to a staff member speak to another staff member unprofessionally and being disrespected from across the restaurant. I did try to speak with Andrew the manager before we left, but was told he was busy and not available.
I was very disappointed with Watts today. I ordered the catfish platter; 45 minutes later I was informed that the cooks were having trouble getting the center cooked. I chose cod to replace it; it was terrible 2/3 greasy, nasty crust and 1/3 cod meat. My wife 's fish tail was not cooked in the center. The older cashier man did not ask if everything was OK; he was promoting their delicious catfish to another customer. A young man stepped to register and I commented about the 'delicious ' catfish that I never received. His only response was 'sorry about that '. This is very poor customer care by both men. It should have been a free meal! It was my last time to visit Watts.
Excellent country fried steak and gravy. The sides were very tasty. Great service from Theresa. Definitely a favorite on our trip.
It's well worth the drive. Great food and service. Love the fresh baked goods
Went to Amish and was disappointed. Stopped here on the way home. Chicken, mashed potatoes and homemade noodles dish was fantastic. Lots of other stuff I wish I could have tried.
