We were on a short break so not from the area, and after travelling around, we dropped into the Black Lion for a light evening snack. We just chose a starter the prawn cocktail and the pate. Amazing! Called in after walking in the local area. The menu was promising, and with only 3 other guests in the pub we anticipated good service. We waited nearly 1 hour to get our food with no hint of an apology. My gammon had clearly been sat around for a while. Its difficult to complain when your hungry and can't wait another hour.
