Amay's House - Vancouver

It’s pretty rare to find Burmese restaurants. We decided to check out Amay’s House, which also dabbles in Malaysian and Thai cuisine. They’re located next to Kawa Sushi. I think this is the only place in Vancouver that serves Burmese food, although most of the menu items are SE Asian generic. I liked the tofu salad which used tofu strips colored with turmeric. The interplay of textures was good. Kind of a cheap and cheerful restaurant. The decor is utilitarian. Quite good for a quick lunch if you are in the neighborhood, but not a destination restaurant.
