"What an amazing experience! Our dinner club picked this restaurant as it's outside of Madison but not too far. A huge thank you to Bryan for the fantastic, engaging service throughout our meal. The place is so cozy and beautifully decorated. I highly recommend the Spicy Margarita (it's blue) and for entree, everyone loved the Scallops dish and the Halibut. Bryan convinced us that dessert was worth it (and it was We shared the Vanilla Creme Brulee and Chocolate Souffle. Will definitely be back and would like to try their brunch some weekend too."

"Tempest is one of my favorite restaurants in Madison. Great atmosphere, great service, great food. It is expensive, but it is worth every penny.<br br/>To get a good deal, try to visit during Happy Hour. They have nearly a dozen different oysters available to try on the half shell. It's a great opportunity to compare different varieties. Other appetizers include the fish cake, the conch fritters, and the smoke stack (whitefish salad, lox, trout, caviar). I've been pleased with the freshness, presentation, and flavors of all of them. The bartenders are friendly and make very good (and strong) drinks.<br br/>For dinner, we've always stuck with the seafood (trout, crab, tuna, marlin). It's always perfectly cooked, fresh, and delicious. Our service has always been outstanding. Friendly, prompt, respectful.<br br/>If you haven't been, I highly recommend the Tempest Oyster Bar."

"I've always loved SJ's ribs....but the sauce is to die for...I consider it candy..I can't buy in Northern Wisconsin so any time I'm in Madison I usually buy about a dozen or more bottles, both regular and the spicy one too. I've tried to mimic a recipe and have come close. SJ - If you have your ears on...do I recall that you published the recipe in a WSJ article...maybe back in the 80's?"
