Apple Tree Restaurant - Victoria

I love traditional restaurants like this. It sure beats another soulless chain restaurant serving another breakfast sandwich. Apple Tree serves traditional food in a relaxed setting.I was greeted warmly and seated immediately, and within a minute my order was taken. The food arrived very quickly. It wasn't what I ordered, but it got there fast and I was in a hurry. It proved to be very good, and after experiencing breakfast I'm looking forward to trying more of the menu.If I have one criticism, it's that the soft drinks have a strong chlorine flavour. Filters to deal with this are not expensive.

I have been going to Apple Tree for over 2 decades. It is a diner type atmosphere, unassuming with tasty food. The menu is not extensive (which is a good) thing, prices are reasonable and the staff is excellent. It is a little out of the way, but worth the drive.

We both had the traditional breakfast. Food was decent and portions were generous, perhaps a little too generous. I didn't notice a small portions option on the menu, but I would like that option the next time we visit.Dietary restrictions: They were knowledgeable about and accommodating with gluten free options. They had gluten free toast and pan fried my partner's hash browns.

12 of us went on Saturday for brunch, very good service, fast, good food and very good on price. Will definitely go back.
