"We have been customers since it opened, but since the owners have not been in charge of customer service, rudeness has crept in- for instance, on our last visit a staff member openly complained about having to open the chiller to sell us some cake near the close of business! Unbelievable attitude! Then we were charged $5 for a piece of cake! there is no price list for cake or baked goods which is unacceptable. Very disappointing!"

"I've been meeting to go there for awhile as I keep seeing the place....but it always seems so crowded. This time it wasn't so busy, so I decided to stop for dinner. It's mostly a takeout place, but with a fairly spacious eating counter. And from that counter you stare right into where the chefs are doing the cooking....and see every move. Wow, are they ever busy. It is Asian fusion which sometimes means that they don't make any of the cuisines all that well. Some Indian, Thai, Chinese, and some that who knows where they're from. A small menu but an appetizing one. I ordered the Chinese curry Noodle Stir Fry (w. shrimp and barbeque pork). It was $15 (not bad for Victoria and GST is included in that price). and it arrived quickly. The bowl was huge (and my most common complaint about restaurants is that they don't give you enough). The noodles were done perfectly, and the curry sauce was nicely balanced in terms of sweetness and spiciness (Chinese curries are never particularly hot). My only complaint was that the shrimp was overcooked some of the shrimp pieces were really hard and dry, particularly the ones at the top of the bow (which were probably the ones taking off the grill last). And the barbeque pork was rather overcooked as well. But the veggies were fine. And I have to admit I still really enjoyed it. I suspect I'll be back."

"We have been to Bodega a few times and have always enjoyed our meal. The staff are friendly and accommodating and the tapas are amazing...fresh and very tasty. The prices are reasonable, both for the wine and small plates. This time we had the stuffed paquillos and papas suprema. I would recommend either or both...with a glass or two of wine it was a perfect lunch."

"The only reason service is a 3 is because when we asked to move us to the bar after just having been sat for a minute and not touched anything on the table, while the restaurant was half empty and the bar had only 1 of 10 chairs occupied, we were blatantly told no moving seats as per policy . Zero reason to enforce said policy in the circumstances we were in. We had the saba and sockeye sashimi, the real crab Nigiri, the big roll, the lucky strike roll, the avo/salmon roll and the totoro roll. All delicious!"
