The food was lovingly made from scratch and tasted excellent. We enjoyed 4 taco's, two beef and two chicken, plus a veggie borrito. We also ordered a side of chips, salsa, sour cream and the best homemade guacamole I've ever tasted. Total cost of meal was $31 and ample enough food for two hungry tourists View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about Rica Salsa:
Unfortunately, our second visit here didn't meet up to our first a couple of years ago. I should have listened to a friend and former regular who said Rica Salsa isn't as good as it used to be. I had a chorizo burrito, and my...partner a chicken burrito. Great sauce, and equally great house hot sauce. The ingredients of both burritos were luke warm at best, cold at worst. My burrito had a couple of bites of chorizo s... View all feedback.

Surprised to find the flavours that really make you feel like you're in Mexico. Of course our daughter is already a big fan but we just discovered it today. What a nice surprise!
My wife and I decided to try this little place, just off the 'Cook St. Village' area in Victoria. What a surprisingly great find, we felt like we were on holidays in Mexico. The music and atmosphere contributed to our experience greatly but the food was amazing.Everything home made and from scratch, even the tortilla chips. Original twists like homemade Chipotle aioli, and mango honey drizzled over the nachos, homemade salsa and guacamole better than any I've in or outside of Mexico. The chef works in a traditional small area with flames rising high from the grill and if you ask him about the food he says they have even more special things to try that are not on the menu next time we come. It's a bit hard to find, seating is limited but it's well worth a visit, you'll be glad you did. We didn't have enough room to try everything we wanted to try, so we got a couple of takeout items for later, fantastic for take out too.
What delicious burritos! The ingredients are fresh and wonderfully combined. I love finding a restaurant that serves unique and tasty vegetarian food, and, after a week in Victoria, my husband swears this was his most delicious meal.
This place has gone seriously downhill - prices have increased while quality has plummeted. Its amazing you have to wait so long for such disgusting food. When it opened I loved the veggie enchiladas with mole sauce. There used to be four per order which was too much for me so $10 for two delicious meals. The last time I went - some time ago - I ordered veggie enchiladas to go. When I arrived home I discovered they were beef enchiladas. Since I don't eat meat, most of my meal went in the garbage. I finally got up the courage to give them one last chance. I again ordered enchiladas - very strongly emphasizing that I don't eat meat and they needed to be veggie. The guy said there was no mole sauce but he could do one with red salsa and one with green salsa. This meal was also totally disgusting. No green or red salsa - just a little guacamole topping. Soggy enchiladas filled with what appeared to be the prepared cole slaw mix you can buy at the store. They used to use mexican queso fresca - now just a few strands of orange cheddar cheese. This was very definitely my last visit.
