Tucked into a food court/whatever kind of mall in downtown Victoria, is a curious and very professional stall/restaurant called roast. Lower case theirs, not mine.I had a roast beef (nice and rare) sandwich. Decent bun (I think it was made there).It's a busy place in a vegan world. Took me 5 bites before my first bite of crispy pork skin. You guys need to quit being so stingy with the ingredients for the price point you're at. Will go back once more to try the meatballs but meh. You got nothing on Meat + Bread in gastown. Just saying. View all feedback.
I had the Beef sandwich and my partner had the vegi frito bowl. Both were super. We wanted something easy to transport as we were in our way to the airport and both held up well. Fully recommend this place to anyone looking for some good hearty lunchfair.
Love their roast beef bowl! Good portion for the price and excellent flavours! Staff is very friendly as well. I will be back :
Delicious food and good service! Exactly what I want from a quick food restaurant. The chicken meatball sandwich was delicious, and if you've got a bigger appetite then try one of the bowls. Lots of fresh salad toppings if that's your thing. I'lldefinitely be back!
I always loved this place until today when I asked for double roast veg and got 2 carrots and 2 parsnips then the rest was onions(85% of the roast veg. Very upset with my $23 lunch and will struggle to go back. The chicken was epic as always but hejust didn?t care about the scrapings that I was getting
Hi! Roast is one of the best places to go to in Victoria. The porchetta bowl is amazing, the pork is flavourful and the crackling is perfect. I love having it with the kale salad and lemon rice! If you're nearby you must go there and if you're not,make the detour, the food is too good to miss! If you need small snack get their sausage rolls, again so flavourful. You canalso buy their sausage rolls frozen so you can enjoy them at home. Thanks for the great food!
