One of the best things I ate in my life! Our baby boy (one year old) even loved it and the staff was so nice and 'sweet ' to him today. Queijadas make you happy...

One of the BEST deserts I have ever eaten! They are very addictive and rightly so because they are so delicious. I am waiting to go back so that I can eat them...

"Well, we love beer and make it a point to try and visit at least one local beer bar or brewpub on our trips and this was it. First of all it is not really in VFDC; it is on the outskirts of if not frankly in the next village. Very unobtrusive. It's basically 3 doorways in a building next to the church. Parked on the street. Few indoor tables. Looked a bit like a repurposed large rest room. Tiled, not exactly warm and fuzzy. Lots of locals. That's usually a good sign but there's something about Azorean and Portuguese men which looks a bit....rough? So my wife and I walked in, we stick out a bit because we're travelers and of course had packs etc and we got a few glances but no trouble. ordered two beers lagers paid and walked out and sat on the steps of the church. Bunch of kids were listening to music and drinking in a small square across the street. Interesting local experience and very good beer. Not sure if they had food; we just had our own chips. Didn't hang out. Not a trendy millenial hangout but worth a visit."

"I was here for an event and stayed in the room for 3 nights. TLDR; Rooms are old and uncomfortable, service is terrible, building is not clean. Location is fine on the beach. There are cockroaches here in the stairways 4 dead cockroaches there for 3 days. I know it's an island but they could at least clean up. Also, the beds are rock hard and the rooms are very dated. I would highly recommend not booking here. I've been to Azores plenty of times and this hotel would be at the bottom of my list for sure. I am certain that camping would be a better alternative. Upon check in be prepared to be bombarded with several rules and pick your breakfast time. Additionally, there's like 12 total parking spots. So cars must be down a large unlit driveway which feels hazardous. Room service is unreliable never arriving or bringing the wrong order. The event space is dated but the service in the event venue was fine. One positive: the wifi works well..."
