What Shigamm likes about Mare Baixa Cafe:
Cracking wee place to have something to eat at a reasonable price without leaving feeling that you’ve been robbed. We had the steak sandwiches with fries, they were lovely! It is a busy little place and you might have to wait up to 30 mins or so for the food to be servers, it is worth the wait. We went and ordered inside to save a little time. The food was good for a lunch, enjoyed throughly by both my wife and I. read more.

The restaurant also offers the possibility to sit outside and eat and drink in nice weather.

Had a stroll along the river and called at this cafe for a snack. It is a limited menu but we had the steak, egg and chips and I must say that for the money the food was not bad. We had the meal, a soft drink and a coffee all for 7.5 euros. It is not a big cafe but the inside has a great tiled staircase. I would have no hesitation is recommending this for simple fare at a great price. read more.
