What User doesn't like about Souths Suburban Bowls Club:
Passing through Mackay.Just wanted a light meal so ordered from menu entrée size salt and pepper calamari with polenta,& capers on a bed of rocket and fried capers. Calamari was good but no polenta and no rocket (just small mix of lettuce leaves)Capers were cold and obviously not fried as advertised.....So not very filling as no carbohydrates. read more.

Arrived with my family and They would not let me in the front door cause I didn’t have a hard copy of my license, wouldn’t even except a photo of front and back...

"Booking was simply made online. The restaurant was not overly busy, but the service was slow and a little unorganized by training. Meals were beautifully presented, but dietary poisoning by the pork ribs later in the evening. Contact the restaurant to advise to prevent other diners from having an uncomfortable and never had an answer."

"After winning a dinner voucher for $80 and hubby's birthday we decided on going for dinner. We were recommended the special for Spartan for two. Well I shared this with my teenager boy dumb idea as he ate most of it as all it really was a mixed grill. Nothing special. Hubby ordered Octupus (expensive) but received two large pieces and it was overcookrd. Octupus cook well is not rubbery. Other son ordered soulivki and it was very chewy. Greek beer was great. And the girls that serviced as were very lovely. Very expensive and really not that special. I am a cook so I am very hard to please. But we still enjoyed our night out. And really we only had too make up the bill. So for what we paid for all good. Would I rush back. No. Enjoy"
