"While traveling through Texas we stopped by this restaurant to grab dinner. We were pleasantly surprised to find this delicious hole in a wall in Waco serving Caribbean cuisine. We ordered the Coco bread, Jamaican beef patty, oxtails, curry goat, the sweet potato cake for dessert and the pineapple ginger drink. My kids scarfed the food down so fast as if I hadn?t fed them in a week! It was that good. Our order taker/waiter was super kind and very attentive, stopping by frequently to check on us and make sure that we were really enjoying our food. When he saw how much we were enjoying our food he was excited for us to try other things and gave us a cup of their sorrel drink. Everything we ate was so delicious and the oxtails were our family?s favorite thing that we ordered. The vegetables on the side were so simple yet delicious even my son who doesn?t like vegetables said he liked them. If we lived closer we would totally make this one of our staple restaurants."

"We just experienced Papa Jacks for the first time, and it was exceptional food! The smoked Cabbage is delicious and super tender, the pinto beans are seasoned well and the best beans I’ve ever had. The smoked Mac&Cheese was cheesy and incredibly seasoned, the sausage link (not pictured) was juicy and plump, the lean brisket was tender moist and all around delicious. But for me the star of the show was the ribs. The ribs were excellent they had a delicious bark on them, and the bone was clean because the meat just fell right off! The service was fast, and everyone was incredibly friendly, even though they were extremely busy! Hands down a place you have to try in Waco! Best BBQ Waco has to offer! Ps. The prices are fantastic!"

"Update Fast fresh and great subs. But to have four people working that are huddles and talking in back because it's dead and you have to ask twice for them to swap out the carbonation since all the drinks are flat and they don't do it. Just point to the fridge and say you can get a bottled drink...yeah they were all room temp warm. This location is on a major decline."

"My family ate at Portofino’s during the Baylor Family Weekend, and although we experienced extremely slow service, we still enjoyed very much. The food tastes phenomenal. I recommend the aubergines parmigiana. Everyone loved their food. Again they were very busy and the service was very slow. But the waiters tried their best to maintain demand, and finally we enjoyed it here. We're coming back!"
