"While traveling through Texas we stopped by this restaurant to grab dinner. We were pleasantly surprised to find this delicious hole in a wall in Waco serving Caribbean cuisine. We ordered the Coco bread, Jamaican beef patty, oxtails, curry goat, the sweet potato cake for dessert and the pineapple ginger drink. My kids scarfed the food down so fast as if I hadn?t fed them in a week! It was that good. Our order taker/waiter was super kind and very attentive, stopping by frequently to check on us and make sure that we were really enjoying our food. When he saw how much we were enjoying our food he was excited for us to try other things and gave us a cup of their sorrel drink. Everything we ate was so delicious and the oxtails were our family?s favorite thing that we ordered. The vegetables on the side were so simple yet delicious even my son who doesn?t like vegetables said he liked them. If we lived closer we would totally make this one of our staple restaurants."

"We just experienced Papa Jacks for the first time, and it was exceptional food! The smoked Cabbage is delicious and super tender, the pinto beans are seasoned well and the best beans I’ve ever had. The smoked Mac&Cheese was cheesy and incredibly seasoned, the sausage link (not pictured) was juicy and plump, the lean brisket was tender moist and all around delicious. But for me the star of the show was the ribs. The ribs were excellent they had a delicious bark on them, and the bone was clean because the meat just fell right off! The service was fast, and everyone was incredibly friendly, even though they were extremely busy! Hands down a place you have to try in Waco! Best BBQ Waco has to offer! Ps. The prices are fantastic!"

"I like this joint. Very customizable Poke bowls with fast, friendly service and an airy environment with plenty of sunshine. I had the Hawaiian Classic with Spicy Tuna and the ingredients were fresh and everything worked well together. They offer tons of customization and have tons of options. -Petal Poke is good and good for you!"

"A cozy breakfast restaurant on the southwest side of Waco. It has delicious food, good service and good for families. There was a waiting line, so be prepared to wait 15 minutes or longer. The place was clean and fairly organized except at the entrance where people were checking in. There is a lot of parking on the side and in front. I enjoyed my Veggie Egg Benedict very much, and from the number of people waiting to get in, they must have as well. So, if you are looking for a nice place to eat a good breakfast, stop by and make this place your breakfast place too!"

"My family ate at Portofino’s during the Baylor Family Weekend, and although we experienced extremely slow service, we still enjoyed very much. The food tastes phenomenal. I recommend the aubergines parmigiana. Everyone loved their food. Again they were very busy and the service was very slow. But the waiters tried their best to maintain demand, and finally we enjoyed it here. We're coming back!"

"First of all, we are new to the area. We looked for awhile trying to find a place we wouldn't regret. We read several different places' reviews and landed on shorty's as the place for supper. Wow! We we're not disappointed at all. I would give you a 10 if that was an option. Our meat lovers 18 was the best I've had since I was a kid, and that one was over 1,000 miles away from here. The cheese pizza 18 was just so satisfying. The meat lovers pillow was the bomb dot com. I will definitely be back. Not sure I have a need to try any other pizza place from here on out. I would add a picture but we began to eat before we got a picture and didn't stop until it was gone. Thank you Shorty's for a great meal for the whole family. We will be back."

"I am a burger junkie and the whiz pig is my favorite burger of all time. I've made the drive from Austin and from Dallas just have this burger. The staff is super friendly no matter which location you go to!! The staff at union hall location went aboveand beyond to package up some to go burgers for me to take back to my family in Dallas and made sure they'd still be good when Igot home. Cannot recommend enough."
