"My wife and I were looking forward to visiting this cafe in view of the excellent reviews . However when we arrived we were approached by a chap , possibly the owner who, instead of offering assistance to get over the threshold step told my...wife and it would be better if we did not go in as it may be unsafe. We couldn't believe this man's attitude, offered no assistance and basically made us feel unwelcome. We left disheartened that such discriminatory people still exist , although we ended up having an excellent breakfast in the Coffee Grind around the corner. I have to say in all my years visiting older buildings which do not have purpose built disabled access this is the first time I have had such a negative unfriendly experience ."

"Been a few times and never disappoints. I order the chicken tikka masala with a little extra spice to it which is always a winner, wife loves the curry selection available and tries a new one each visit. Recommend!"

"My partner took me here for my birthday on Friday 25th November we had a really lovely meal, the food was delicious and big in portions! The ribs in particular were good! The pub itself is beautiful with old beams and a lovely fireplace, very warming and welcoming! The staff were very friendly and attentive including the manager/owner. I will definitely be coming back, a lovely hidden gem!"

"We had afternoon tea and everything was delicious, lovely sandwiches, warm scones and tasty cakes. The cakes were proper sliced cakes and not the silly little taster cakes you can sometimes get. A lovely warm welcome from all the staff and we were given a box to take home what we couldn't eat. The best high tea we have ever had. We will definitely be going back again."

"The coffee is absolutely delicious. Rich flavours yet smooth and creamy. No syrups available meaning the focus is all on the coffee. They use the best oat milk I’ve ever tasted in my whole life. The cake slices are always unreal. My favourite Saturday morning spot, and Sunday, and every day! I’ve not tried the food but the menu looks varied and reasonable although t it is pretty cramped in there with only a few tables. Make sure to book it’s definitely worth it!"
