"It was a good surprise to find here in Oahu a restaurant in Puerto Rica. We're tired? Junk? Food and we were in desperate need for some rice and beans cooked the right way. We drove an hour to get a taste of home and it was not disappointed. The food was delicious and the portions were right. Service was exceptional and I love the outdoor seating area. Give them a look, you won't be disappointed."

"Shige's Saimin Stand is a great little gem of Wahiawa. I stopped there to eat while taking a little ride. It's been years since I been there. I ordered their fried saimin with a hamburger (my favorite). It was so good, just like I remembered and the staff was friendly and the service was great.
