"First, this location is amazing! Right on the beach path. The vegan options were listed and several other items were able to be veganized if asked. Our server was very knowledgable. We got the vegan pizza, risotto (made vegan), ceviche made with heart of palm, and a lovely house pasta with a olive oil white wine sauce with sautéed veggies. Treat yo'self to some lux food and impeccable service next time you are in Wailea."

"Monkeypod Kitchen was fun and lively in the evening of our visit. Live music made it loud and fun as soon as you in, although the ambience is uplifted. The cocktails are well designed and meet the place. I enjoyed the seafood market and it was fantastic. Our large group also received fun and hospitable service. Do you recommend checking this point if you? You leave your resort in Wailea."

"One of my absolute favorite places we visited. The drive there was scenic and very enjoyable. So dont let the distance deter you from visiting this must see place. The mountain views were the most breathtaking I've ever had. I was in complete awe. We were able to walk around and enjoy all the lush greenery. We didn't take the train tour. We came for an early dinner. It's a bit pricey but well worth it. You will not regret it. One of the highlights of our maui visit!"

"So disappointed. When we got there (a few minutes early) we were told there would be about a thirty minute wait. So my boyfriend and I tried to kill time and grab a drink at the bar. that did NOT go well. We were totally ignored. We tried to get the bartenders attention a few times, even made direct eye contact, but he never helped us ... So, after about ten minutes, we walked down to the other end of the crowded bar. The bartender on that side was nice and smiled, but she told us she was a service tender for wait staff and we would have to order on the other side ... So we went back to the other side and continued to be ignored for another five minutes. SOOOOOO we left and walked around the parking lot for a bit and found a place downstairs that sold beer by the can. My boyfriend bought and as soon as we cracked them open our table was ready. We went upstairs, and the waitress rudely confiscated his not-even-sipped-yet beer because you cannot bring outside beverages ... OK, whatever, I get it. it SUCKED because we *wanted* to buy drinks at the bar but no one would help us. but the REAL kicker is that when I made the reservation, I mentioned that it was my Boyfriends Birthday and requested that they bring him something with a candle in it to surprise him (I said on the reservation that I didn't want him to know I told them it was his birthday and that I wanted it to be a surprise) ... while we were eating, a table next to us celebrated a birthday with a candle, so I was certain his would be coming at the end of the meal. Nope. Nada. So for his birthday ... all he got was bad service and his beer taken away from him. (and again, I get it. no outside drinks. but she was real rude about it) I felt SO bad!!! it was our first night in Hawaii and I wish we would have gone somewhere else. What an (expensive) waste of time and money."
