"Annually we travel to Paihia for a 1 week holiday. This year saw us inviting our friends from Timaru who have never travelled so far north. My husband flew in to join us on Sunday evening so we travelled to Kerikeri for the afternoon to do all the touristy things. We decided to have something to eat while there and stumbled over Café Cinema. Wonderful service and great food was enjoyed by all. An added bonus was meeting up with Mats again (the owner) and briefly meeting his daughter Charlie. We will look forward to visiting next year when we come up for our annual pilgrimage."

"Best coffee in Keri, only place I've found that sells cheese rolls I lived doqn south for a few years and it's one thing I miss) and great service! When I say great that's an understatement.. everyone is stunning!! . Honestly what else would else would want? The use of Te Reo Maori is also . Support Local, love Local"

"After a successful fishing charter in Paihia with Blue Sea Charters, the recommendation by skipper Andrew wad to take the fillets fish to Rayz on the Bay where they will cook it up for you. Rays charge $10 per fillet, and add what ever else you want I.e. chips for extra. They cook your fish what ever style; we had ours battered and it was awesome. Highly recommended, would have been 5 stars of it wasn't for the bar girl who seemed liked she didn't want to be there and wasn't prepared to be too helpful."

"This is an overpriced, tourist trap. Of all the meals I have had in New Zealand, this was by far the most disappointing. The manager approached our table and attempted to push alcohol on us seems like the only way to convince customers that the food is reasonably priced or edible. Ordered the Masala Fries and it was nothing more than tomato sauce with a sprinkle of masala seasoning on top of lack luster fries. Oysters came with dried out lemon and even drier bacon on it. The atmosphere wreaks of cheap alcohol and preying on tourists with low impulse control. If this restaurant was a person you'd think twice about leaving your drink unattended around them."
