"A beautiful setting. Some of the most inedible poultry imaginable. The quail was like rubber bands, and the mash and beans merely adequate. Sour milk in the cappuccino. Not to be recommended."

"Oh my word, what an unbelievable selection of biscuits, jams, some of the best meat pies I've eaten in a long while. Friendly service and lovely fresh baked bread, buns etc. The coffee which they roast locally is also very good. You gotta pop in here if your in Wakkerstroom."

"We just love this local pub by the train station. The original track between Volksrust and Wakkerstroom was opened in 1916. The last trains ran until 1994 when the station was closed. The trains were used for wool and livestock transfers. The current owners transformed the station building into a pub, and it is a must visit.
