Contribute FeedbackThe restaurant offers good Eritrean and Ethiopian cuisine, though it may not be in the top 3 in D.C. The compact space could use an update, though the location between Dupont and Adams Morgan is ideal. The food is filling, with friendly staff helping diners navigate the menu. The veggie combo is a standout, offering generous portions with less greasiness than other Ethiopian restaurants. The menu is spicy, so be prepared, and the breakfast fava bean stew is a must-try. The authenticity and flavorful dishes make this restaurant a great choice for those looking for Eritrean and Ethiopian cuisine in D.C. It may get busy, so plan your visit accordingly. Despite the dated decor, the food quality and affordability make this restaurant highly recommended.
Very good food. We ordered the group special which was tasty, a good variety, and reasonably priced. Busy but worth the wait.
Good food, large portions, attentive staff, and it’s authentic!
Everything was superb. From the service and charm, to the copious amounts of the most delicious food. This restaurant in Adams Morgan needs to be on everyone’s list who enjoys flavorful food!
Knew I had to have African food while visiting DC for a conference and wow this place did not disappoint! The restaurant was packed when I went to pick up my takeout order, a good sign on a Sunday night. My order was still ready in under 20 minutes, still hot when I got back to my hotel. The fish dulet and ful were both excellent, I understand the hype!
Food was delicious and everyone was incredibly friendly!
