What BARRYBE likes about The Star:
On the side outside this pub, they say that it is the oldest pub in Guildford. On the day we stopped for lunch, they could not offer a full menu as they had no gas. Settled for sandwiches and a beer, which was not bad. This pub has lots of character and would love to have tried one of their main lunch meals. View all feedback.
What FlyingBardini doesn't like about The Star:
A pub with loads of potential. Ale questionable. Had a Whitstable Bay pale ale which tasted unlike any I have tasted ultra bland this beer really isnt). There were 4 at the bar and I was disappointed to hear who 's next . Too many pubs seem to think it is the responsibility of the customers to fight for the attention of the inattentive. Also had a pint of Spitfire. Again inexplicably bland. View all feedback.
