"Ay, caramba. Wowzer. Not really sure where to start here. First, a few words to set the scene. Came here with my family on the final day of what has been a superb visit to Kitzbuhel. Great skiing and lots of wonderful food over the...past few days and we thought, what better to top it all off than a bit of hedonism. After doing a bit of research and reading a few reviews online we thought where better to go to satisfy this urge for digestible debauchery than 1st Lobster. Not only was it rated as the 5th best restaurant in Kitzbuhel, but it’s very name reeked of indulgence and class. I’m here to set the record straight. Firstly, they don’t serve cocktails. As we had enjoyed cocktails-a-plenty during our short break, this was was reasonably insignificant to us. But it’s worth being aware of if considering a visit. Secondly, the warmth you expect from staff at any restaurant that markets and prices themselves out of your regular restaurant goers wallet, simply didn’t exist. And thirdly, and this really was the cherry on the icing of the proverbial butt cake, (and please do picture our faces when they told us this), THEY HAD NO BLEEDIN’ LOBSTER! Need I say anymore? We left swiftly after finishing our sub par steaks and are now ennroute to drown our sorrows in a McFlurry. Would not recommend."

"I eat very often professionally and privately in restaurants: throughout the German-speaking area; from berlin to Wien, until Bern.My favorite restaurant has been erika in pertisau (also a secret tip), here in pipino’s, however, we have encountered a new perfection of kulinarik.Star restaurants there are many, like sand at the sea. but it is often lacking the quent love for detail and sufficient ease in service - moreover I hate smallest portions, especially when I am hungry.Here in pipino’s combines outstanding product quality, craftsmanship and love from the entire team in a fabulous combination - we have found our new favorite restaurant! who claims something else simply has little idea of really great eating and about it can not be denied.U.a. Therefore we are going to spend more time in the year kitzbühel on a holiday or visit.Macht more so (can it get better),? you are a great doll!"

"Incredibly beautiful, fantastic location. The friendliness of all employees is hard to beat. It left nothing to be desired. The kitchen is fabulous, whatever we ate was excellent. Rosi is available for all guests, her attention to detail is reflected in the entire property, including the staff. The rooms are also really nice and well-kept. We felt very comfortable and welcome all around and will definitely be back. Rosi's Sonnbergstuben are an institution... Chapeau"

"What a surprise to find Nini cooking up authentic Thai in the middle of the snow covered Alps..Nini is a young Thai girl married to an Austrian with a new-born child, working hard in this modest eatery. Her German is excellent and her English is good. There are about 4 seats, so it is best treated as a take-away. However I found myself having a few Singha beers (sold there) as I watched Nini and her friend prepare my food from fresh. This took about 10 minutes.The food is tasty and I found myself coming back again during one week's skiing in St. Johann. This food is great value and a good alternative to traditional Austrian dishes which are the norm here.As will0w19 points out; there is also a good restaurant next door. It is different enough from Nini's to give it a go and the food is also of good quality. A good alternative if you cannot sample Nini's delights.Lucky St. Johann!"
