$68 for a the lobster roll and fried clam plate. Both came out quickly and were tasty! Arrived right at opening. Solid spot and will be back if I’m in the area.
What Gypsy Rose doesn't like about Brown's Clam Shanty:
I can't speak to the food. I requested that something be changed and was told the cook would refuse to do it. So I had to sit and watch my friend eat her lunch while I drank a soda! She said hers was just ok. I have never not been accommodated! For obvious reasons I won't be back nor do I recommend them View all feedback.
The place was very busy yet provided Excellent customer service with a smile. Fried clams were cooked to perfection.
Too expensive for average food not big rig friendly
Great local and family run classic Maine eatery. No pretension just great food, atmosphere, and staff. We stop here every year for our one meal of fried clams which are always perfect. Highly recommended!
We arrived at Thousand Trails Moody Beach Campground. After a very long day on the highway, we decided to go to Brown's as it was just minutes away. We are so glad we did. The fried clams were golden brown and crisp, and yet the belly was still so tender and moist. The lobsta roll was extremely fresh and tender. We opted for warmed with melted butter on the side. Fries were good, but we went for the seafood. Our server was friendly, and we chatted while waiting for our meal, which was served quickly. Very enjoyable meal. FYI, they serve beer, wine, and canned cocktails.
Great prices and food. Loads of steamers (1.25lb) w/ sides for under $20.00! The shrimp tacos were also great.
